Ecommerce Fulfillment Pricing: How the Costs Actually Break Down
Most sellers arrive at fulfillment pricing from the wrong direction. They compare one headline number against another headline number and end up choosing a provider whose invoice looks nothing like the quote six months later. The Dropshipping Agent, operated by Mutual Dropshipping from China, structures ecommerce fulfillment pricing around three components only: the product cost, the shipping cost, and a fixed per-order handling fee. No hidden layers, no subscription sitting in the background. This page explains each part in full so you can price your store with confidence before you ever ship a parcel.
The Three-Part Structure
Every order you place with us is priced as follows:
- Product cost — what the item itself costs, sourced from Yiwu International Trade City and the manufacturing belts around Yiwu (Jinhua, Yongkang, Pujiang, Dongyang).
- Shipping — charged separately and calculated per destination and per parcel, never folded silently into the product price.
- Per-order handling fee — a flat fee of US$0.50, US$0.75 or US$1.00, depending on the product. This covers picking, packing and labelling of that single order.
That is the entire model. It applies whether you are running a first test order or a steady stream of shipments through our dropshipping fulfillment service.

Handling is the only recurring fee attached to an order, and it is the same mechanism you would see in a well-run pick and pack services setup — except that here it is quoted as a single flat amount per order rather than built up from a menu of line items.
What Is Free
Several parts of the service carry no charge at all, and it is worth naming them explicitly because they are usually where other providers start adding line items:
- The app — connect your store and let orders sync automatically.
- Quality checks on incoming products.
- Storage for the first 30 days at both the China and US warehouses (storage beyond 30 days is quoted on request).
The app is how your orders arrive with us. Shopify, WooCommerce, Salla and Lightfunnel stores connect through it for automatic order sync; CSV/Excel manual ordering is also supported, and that is typically how eBay sellers work with us. Our Shopify App Store app, MutualDropshipping, has been live since May 2022 and is rated 4.6–4.7 on the Shopify App Store (rating checked 21 October 2026).
What There Is None Of
- No subscription fee.
- No minimum order quantity.
- No account activation fee.
Sourcing and a dedicated account manager are activated once you have placed at least one order. There is nothing to pay before that point, and nothing to pay monthly after it.
What Changes the Shipping Part
Shipping is the one component that moves, and it moves for predictable reasons. Three factors determine it: the destination country, the weight and size of the parcel, and the speed of the shipping line you choose. A small, light parcel to a nearby destination on a standard line will sit at a very different place in the range than a bulky item crossing an ocean on a fast line. Because these variables interact, we never publish fixed per-kilogram prices — an invented rate would mislead you. Instead, the shipping portion is quoted against your actual product and actual destination, and you can see it before you commit. Delivery itself follows a clear pattern: shipping from China to the US takes 8–12 days in peak season, while orders dispatched from the US warehouse arrive in 2–5 days. Overseas warehouses are also available in Japan, Australia, Germany, Spain, Poland, Canada, France, Belgium, Czechia and the UK.
How Branding Is Charged
Custom packaging, thank-you inserts and product logos are all available, and they are a natural fit for sellers running private label dropshipping. Branding is priced separately from fulfillment: it carries a separate customisation fee and a minimum quantity, and the exact figure depends on the product. Your account manager quotes it per product, so you are never guessing at a generic rate that does not match what you actually want printed.
How to Get an Exact Quote
Send the product and the destination to your dedicated account manager. For customers with orders, quotes are completed the same day, China time. Inquiries that arrive without an order take about 24–72 hours. Once a quote is agreed, the process runs end to end: sourcing, quality check, warehousing, per-order picking, packing and labelling, direct shipping to the end customer, and tracking synced back to your store automatically. Orders for products already in stock ship within 1 day; orders that need sourcing first ship within 3 business days after payment. Is there a monthly fee or a minimum order quantity?
No. There is no subscription fee, no minimum order quantity and no account activation fee. You pay the product cost, the shipping and the per-order handling fee of US$0.50, US$0.75 or US$1.00 depending on the product — nothing else.
Why can't you show a fixed shipping rate per kilogram?
Because shipping depends on three interacting factors: destination, weight and size, and the speed of the shipping line. Publishing a single per-kilogram figure would be inaccurate for nearly every real parcel. Your account manager quotes shipping against your specific product and destination instead.
Does custom branding change my per-order handling fee?
No. Branding is charged as a separate customisation fee with a minimum quantity, quoted per product by your account manager. The handling fee for the order itself stays at the US$0.50, US$0.75 or US$1.00 level set by the product.
