Amazon FBA prep services built for sellers who also run their own stores
Running an Amazon storefront alongside a Shopify, WooCommerce, Salla or Lightfunnel shop means two sets of operational demands pulling at the same inventory. Amazon FBA prep services from The Dropshipping Agent are designed to close that gap. Operated by Mutual Dropshipping, a professional dropshipping agent based in China, our team handles sourcing, inspection and prep in one workflow, so the same supply chain that feeds your independent store can also deliver Amazon-ready cartons to the FBA network.
There is no minimum order quantity, no subscription fee, and no requirement to split your business between suppliers. Sourcing and a dedicated account manager are activated once you have placed at least one order.
What our FBA prep center covers
As a working fba prep center, we take responsibility for the steps between your supplier and Amazon's receiving dock. The scope includes:
- Product sourcing and inspection in China — quotes completed the same day (China time) for customers with orders, drawing on Yiwu International Trade City and the manufacturing belts around Yiwu, including Jinhua, Yongkang, Pujiang and Dongyang.
- FNSKU and SKU labelling — each unit labelled to your Amazon specification before it leaves the warehouse.
- Barcode (UPC/EAN) support — barcode handling coordinated alongside FNSKU work so cartons are not held up at intake.
- Bundling and set packing — multi-item sets assembled and packed as a single sellable unit.
- Carton labelling and forwarding — outer cartons marked and forwarded to Amazon FBA, with tracking issued in advance and synced back to your store automatically after dispatch.
Inspection standards and damage reporting
Quality checks follow Amazon's requirements. Every unit is inspected against those standards before prep begins. If an item is damaged or does not meet the specification, it is reported to you before anything is forwarded to FBA — you decide whether to replace, hold or proceed. This reporting step matters when the same stock also serves your own store, because a defect caught in China is far cheaper than a defect discovered by a customer or an Amazon receiver.
Who these services suit
This service line fits Amazon sellers who also run independent stores and want one supplier relationship rather than two. Typical profiles include:
- Sellers listing the same catalogue on Amazon and on their own storefront, who need FNSKU labels for Amazon and plain retail packaging for their own channel.
- Merchants using the app for automatic order sync on Shopify, WooCommerce, Salla or Lightfunnel, or ordering manually by CSV/Excel.
- Sellers who want warehousing with 30 days of free storage and per-order picking, packing and labelling handled from the same China warehouse that ships direct to end customers.
Pricing is transparent: you pay product cost plus shipping plus a per-order handling fee of US$0.50, US$0.75 or US$1.00 depending on the product. The app and quality checks are free, and storage is free for the first 30 days at the China and US warehouses (storage beyond 30 days is quoted on request). Orders for stock items ship within 1 day; orders needing sourcing ship within 3 business days after payment. China-to-US delivery takes 8-12 days in peak season, while US warehouse dispatch arrives in 2-5 days. Overseas warehouses are also available in Japan, Australia, Germany, Spain, Poland, Canada, France, Belgium, Czechia and the UK.
Private label support — custom packaging, thank-you inserts and product logos — is available for sellers building a brand across both channels. Branding carries a minimum quantity and a separate customisation fee; ask your account manager for the exact figure for your product.
Frequently asked questions
Can you prep the same products for Amazon and my own store?
Yes. Your account manager can route units to FNSKU labelling and carton forwarding for FBA while the same stock serves your Shopify, WooCommerce, Salla or Lightfunnel orders through the app. Bundling and set packing can be applied to either channel.
What happens if an item fails inspection?
Damaged or non-compliant items are reported to you before forwarding. Nothing is sent to Amazon until you have decided how to handle it. Damaged or lost parcels in transit are reshipped free or refunded, except where the recipient address provided was wrong.
Is there a minimum order quantity or subscription?
No MOQ and no subscription fee. Sourcing and a dedicated account manager activate after your first order. You pay only product cost, shipping and the per-order handling fee.
