What a Dropshipping Agent Does — and How This Service Works
A dropshipping agent is the partner between your online store and suppliers in China. Instead of you buying stock upfront, negotiating with factories, chasing tracking numbers and handling after-sales alone, the agent sources the product, inspects it, stores it, packs each order under your brand and ships it directly to your customer. You keep selling; the agent handles everything that happens after the order is paid.
The Dropshipping Agent is operated by Mutual Dropshipping, a professional dropshipping agent based in China. The service is built for Shopify, WooCommerce, Salla and Lightfunnel sellers who want real suppliers, real quality control and a fulfilment partner that answers directly — not a marketplace middleman. There is no minimum order quantity. Once you have placed at least one order, product sourcing and a dedicated account manager are activated, and you can reach that manager directly for quotes, orders and after-sales.
The model is simple: you pay only the product cost, the shipping cost and a small per-order handling fee. The app, quality checks and warehousing are free, and there is no subscription fee. That keeps your cost structure transparent and lets you test products without tying up capital in inventory.
How It Works in 5 Steps
Every order follows the same pipeline, whether it comes through an integrated store or a manual CSV/Excel upload.
- 1. Store sync. Connect your Shopify, WooCommerce, Salla or Lightfunnel store through the app. Orders flow in automatically, so you do not re-type addresses or SKUs. Manual CSV/Excel ordering is supported if you prefer it.
- 2. Sourcing. Products are sourced from Yiwu International Trade City and the manufacturing belts around Yiwu — Jinhua, Yongkang, Pujiang and Dongyang. Sourcing quotes are completed the same day (China time) for customers with orders; inquiries without an order take about 24–72 hours.
- 3. QC check. Incoming products are quality checked before they enter free warehousing. Items that fail inspection do not go out to your customers.
- 4. Pack and label. Each order is picked, packed and labelled individually. Custom packaging, thank-you inserts and product logos are available for sellers who want private-label presentation; branding has a minimum quantity and a separate customisation fee, and your account manager can confirm the exact figure for your product.
- 5. Ship and track back. Orders ship directly to the end customer, and tracking syncs back to your store automatically. Tracking numbers can even be issued in advance, so your store shows movement sooner. Damaged or lost parcels are reshipped free or refunded — except when the recipient address provided was wrong.
Pricing
Pricing is pay-as-you-go. You pay the product cost, the shipping cost and a per-order handling fee. There is no subscription fee, and the app, quality checks and warehousing are free.
| Item | What you pay |
|---|---|
| Product cost | Quoted per product after sourcing |
| Shipping | Calculated per order and destination |
| Handling fee | US$0.50, US$0.75 or US$1.00 per order, depending on the product |
| App, quality checks, warehousing | Free |
| Subscription fee | None |
| Storage | First 30 days free at the China and US warehouses |
Because the handling fee is tiered by product rather than by volume, you can calculate your landed cost per order before you list a product. Ask your account manager for a quote and you will see the full breakdown — product, shipping and handling — in one place.
Why Sellers Switch from Marketplace Suppliers to an Agent
Marketplace suppliers are convenient to start with, but they leave you with little control. The listing photo is not always the product you receive, quality varies between batches, and when something goes wrong you are filing tickets rather than talking to a person. Sellers move to a dedicated agent for a few consistent reasons:
- One accountable partner. A dedicated account manager handles quotes, orders and after-sales directly, so issues are resolved by someone who knows your account.
- Real quality control. Products are checked before dispatch instead of being shipped blind from a marketplace listing.
- No MOQ pressure. You can test a product with a single order and scale only what sells.
- Brand ownership. Custom packaging, inserts and product logos let you build a brand rather than resell an anonymous item.
- Predictable fees. A flat per-order handling fee of US$0.50–US$1.00, free warehousing and 30 days of free storage keep costs visible.
- Local sourcing depth. Direct access to Yiwu International Trade City and nearby manufacturing belts gives you more product options than a marketplace catalogue.
Among the best dropshipping agents for small and mid-sized stores, the differentiator is usually not the product list but the process: same-day sourcing quotes, QC before packing, and tracking that flows back into your store without manual work. That is the standard this service is built around.
Platforms Supported
Shopify, WooCommerce, Salla and Lightfunnel stores connect through the app for automatic order sync, and CSV/Excel manual ordering is supported for any other workflow. The Shopify app has been live since May 2022 and is rated 4.6–4.7 on the Shopify App Store (checked October 2026).
Fulfilment runs from China with overseas warehouses in the US, Japan, Australia, Germany, Spain, Poland, Canada, France, Belgium, Czechia and the UK, so you can choose the route that best fits your delivery promise.
